SAMARA, January 7 (Itar-Tass) —— A Boeing-767 of the British Thomson Airways made an emergency landing in Samara’s Kurumoch airport at 20:05 Moscow time on Monday, a source in the airport told Itar-Tass.
The jet with 302 passengers and seven crew members was making a flight from Thailand’s Phuket to Helsinki. According to the source, no one was hurt.
According to preliminary information, the jet had to make an emergency landing after one of its engines failed.
If the malfunction is not remedied within three hours or in case no other jet is provided, the passengers will be allocated at a local hotel and will be offered hot meals, a spokesman for the regional emergencies department said.
Meanwhile, the Russian federal air transport agency said was ready to provide a reserve jet to take the passengers to Helsinki.
