MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Units of the special task force brigade of Russia’s Southern Military District in the Krasnodar territory have been alerted within the framework of a surprise combat readiness inspection, the district’s press service reported on Wednesday.
"The brigade’s troops will have combat drills simultaneously in several areas of the region. A number of units will be moved to the specified areas by the Mi-8AMTSh military-transport helicopters and several special task force groups will be air dropped from an altitude of 800 metres," the Southern Military District press service said.
The special force troops will also have a 50-kilometer march to the area of the exercises where they will search for an arms cache in a forest area. "To achieve the training objectives, the military will use various types of drones, as well as multifunctional optical-electronic surveillance and reconnaissance complexes," the district press service reported.
