MOSCOW, April 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian national joint stock company Naftogaz did not pay for Russian gas supply in March at all, Russian gas giant Gazprom told ITAR-TASS on Tuesday.
The deadline to pay for Russian gas supplies in the previous month expired April 7.
Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller earlier stated Ukraine’s debt to the Russian gas monopoly at $2.2 billion on April 3. As of April 1, the country’s debt has made $1.7 billion. Proceeding from the gas price for Ukraine at $268.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in the first quarter of 2014, Naftogaz has imported about 1.8 billion cubic meters worth $500 million last March.
