Dollar falls below 75 rubles on Moscow Exchange, Brent prices up 2.4%

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. The dollar fell against the ruble by 1.41 to 74.98 rubles during the trading session on the Moscow Exchange on Friday.

The euro declines 1.77 to 81.73 rubles.

The ruble is stronger against the background of rising oil prices. Brent oil futures with supply in March 2016 rose 2.4% on the London’s ICE to $34.7 a barrel.

Oil prices started growing on Thursday after statements made by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak regarding his readiness to take part in the meeting of OPEC member-states and other oil producers in February. 5% production cut by each country may be the subject matter of forthcoming consultations, Novak said.
