Atambayev promised that the Civil Aviation Agency set up under the Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport and Communications as well as the republic’s air defence forces would provide all the necessary information to Malaysia.
On behalf of the Kyrgyz people, Atambayev presented condolences to the relatives and families of the Boeing-777 crew and passengers. He expressed hope that the airliner would soon be found.
The Boeing 777-200 airliner with 227 passengers and 12 crewmen onboard was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it disappeared from radars on the night from March 7 to 8. The plane’s whereabouts are still unknown.
An air crash or a hi-jack are considered to be the most probable versions behind the plane’s disappearance.
