MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. The Iraqi army’s latest achievements in the fight against the Islamic State terrorist group, banned in Russia, are directly linked to supplies of armaments and military hardware from Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview with the Kommersant business daily.
"This first of all relates to attack aviation and ground forces hardware. Thanks to those, the Islamic State was forced to leave positions it occupied for over a month," Rogozin said.
Last week, the deputy premier leading a delegation of nearly 100 representatives of the authorities and business started a two-day visit to Baghdad, where the first meeting of the Russian-Iraqi intergovernmental commission for eight years took place.
