MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed about the remarks of US President Barack Obama about the Russian leader made in an interview with the Atlantic magazine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
He noted that Putin had been briefed on the main provisions of such interviews in press reviews, this applies to Obama’s key statements as well. "At the moment I can say nothing about the president’s specific reaction (to the U.S. leader’s interview)," the Kremlin spokesman said.
"In this case, yes, we did read this interview. Of course, we took note of what has been said in this interview," Peskov said.
In an interview published in the April issue of the Atlantic Obama said, in particular, that his Russian counterpart during their meetings was "scrupulously polite, very frank". "Our meetings are very businesslike. He never keeps me waiting two hours like he does a bunch of these other folks," the Atlantic quotes the US president as saying.
