SIMFEROPOL, June 25, /ITAR-TASS/. Crimea’s acting Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov is planning to run in elections to the republic’s State Council (parliament) on the United Russia party ticket.

"The Popular Front is going to delegate me to the United Russia party list. I am going to run in the elections,” Aksyonov told journalists on Wednesday.

At a meeting with local political scientists held in Simferopol earlier on Wednesday, Aksyonov called for introducing the procedure of recalling deputies in Crimea.

"The coefficient of efficiency of the majority of deputies has been close to nil. The deputy corps is largely responsible for the quality of life, which we are having now. I believe that the State Council should have such a procedure,” Aksyonov went on to say.

Elections to the State Council of Crimea will take place on September 14.
