MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Reconnaissance scouts of Russian Ground Troops will receive ten robotized surveillance systems operating underground next year. Robots weighing from 150 to 600 grams can find the number and type of military hardware, numerical strength and the amount of weapons on fighters, their coordinates and direction of movement, an official of the united instrument-making corporation incorporated in Russian technologies corporation Rostec told TASS on Thursday.
In his words, surveillance systems which are no more than 20 centimeters in size and weighing from 150 to 600 grams depending on their configuration “can detect the number of military hardware and its type (including low-flying helicopters), the number of moving troops spotting whether a fighter is armed or not and can find coordinates and direction of the movement of objects.”
So, they give a full picture in the real time mode,” the corporation’s official quoted deputy general director of the United Instrument-Making Corporation Sergey Skokov as saying.
He noted that the concern was ready to make up to 500 reconnaissance systems annually. “Production capacities and technologies are already prepared for this,” the corporation’s official added.
