MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Chechnya’s head Ramzan Kadyrov has declared that one of the leaders of the Islamic State, Tarkhan Batirashvili, calling himself Abu Omar al-Shishani has been liquidated.

“The enemy of Islam Tarkhan Batirashvili, calling himself Abu Omar al-Shishani has been killed. The same will happen to anyone who may dare threaten Russia and the Chechen people. It will happen to anyone who will be sheding Muslims’ blood. Allah is Greatest!” Kadyrov said on his official page in Instagram.

Kadyrov did not mention when or where the IS warlord was killed. At the beginning of September Kadyrov said that he had issued orders to track down the terrorist from Syria, who in a video clip warned he would start a war in Chechnya and in the Caucasus.

“We are dealing with that. We have good guys who can move to any part of the world where bandits threaten our country. I have already issued orders to find that criminal and send him there from where he will never return,” Kadyrov said then.

Al-Shihani, a Jordanian of Chechen descent, moved to the United States for permanent residence about 35 years ago. Up to that moment he had resided in the Jordanian town of Zarqa, which has a large Chechen community. In 2002 he was arrested in Detroit for with false bank cheques.

In October Kadyrov offered his interpretation of the current events in the Middle East, in particular, the role of the Islamic State (IS) in the region, and also his opinion of who in reality may be behind the IS militants.

Kadyrov argued that the IS is a terrorist organization on the payroll of Western secret services.

“I would ask one and all not to call them Islamic State. They are Shaitans (devils, evil spirits) and their sole obsession is to grab as much money as they can lay hands on. They are acting on orders from the West and deliberately exterminating Muslims,” the press-service of the Chechen leader quotes Kadyrov as saying.

He urged the IS chief to recognize he works for the US intelligence. "Otherwise they must be wiped out,” Kadyrov said.
