MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. FC Dynamo Moscow and the Russian national team’s forward Alexander Kokorin is holding talks with the English football clubs Manchester United and Tottenham, the 24-year-old striker’s authorized representative told TASS on Wednesday.
A source at Dynamo Moscow confirmed the information.
The representative said he was currently holding talks on Kokorin’s transfer and an interest in getting the striker had been shown by Manchester United and Tottenham.
The representative also said there were fair reasons to hope Kokorin would move to one of the two clubs before August 31.
Earlier, FC Zenit of St Petersburg also showed interest in getting Kokorin.
Dynamo Moscow has received offers from a number of European clubs and finds this option to be preferable, the source inside the club said. It is ready to let Kokorin go unless he goes to Zenit.
Kokorin started out in football at FC Lokomotiv but he took up a contract at Dynamo in 2008, where he has held 165 games since then and has scored 38 goals.
As the striker of the Russian national team, he has played 32 games with eight goals. In 2014, he took part in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
