“For 22 years of sovereign development that is such a brief period for history Turkmenistan has taken a worthy position among strong, prosperous countries in the world,” President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov said in a national address. Turkmenistan has done a large amount of work aimed at socio-economic development of the country and a higher level of life, the national model of competitive economy was created, he stated.
Further progress “on the path of innovations and democracy will become a new stage in socio-economic and political development of Turkmenistan, the priority task for the future,” the president said on the eve of the holiday with a programme speech at an annual meeting of the Council of Elders. In his words, “the industries, which are based on mineral resources, will be developing” in terms of economy.
