LUHANSK, July 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Head of the Luhansk People’s Republic Valery Bolotov has dismissed the government, the website of the self-proclaimed republic reported on Friday.
The ministers will continue to work until a new cabinet is formed, the website says.
The document published on the Internet says Marat Bashirov is appointed Acting Prime Minister. Within a week, he should present the structure and list of executive bodies, and their official names should comply with the republic’s constitution.
No reasons for dismissal of the government are available.
Luhansk mayor urges to stop military actions
Luhansk’s Mayor Sergei Kravchenko has called on all parties in the armed conflict to stop the military actions and to come to negotiations immediately.
“Today the war has come to houses of the local people - military actions continue in the streets, killing people, shells ruin houses and schools,” he said in a statement the municipal administration published on Friday. “The shelling of the city with population of half a million is a crime against own people.”
The mayor demanded “to stopp immediately destroying the city and its inhabitants.”
“Any person with common sense realizes all conflicts, including military ones, should be settled at negotiation tables, not by means of airstrikes and artillery shelling of residential areas,” the mayor of Luhansk said, calling on the parties of the armed conflict not to drop the chance of stopping the fighting.
“For as long as there remains at least one chance to stop the war, you must not miss it," he said.
