“We agreed on supplies of particular elements of particular weapons for the Ukrainian armed forces,” Poroshenko said refusing to comment on what weapons will be supplied to Ukraine.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite confirmed that the agreements on military cooperation have been reached.
“Lithuania is ready to share experience in all spheres, including the military field. We’ll provide you support and ensure training for servicemen,” she said.
Poroshenko and Grybauskaite signed a roadmap to develop interstate partnership in 2015-2016, the Ukrainian president’s website said.
Poroshenko noted the importance of fighting corruption and the rapid reform in the country. He said the coalition agreement, which also includes an anti-corruption program, was signed several days ago.
Grybauskaite said Lithuania would support Ukraine. “We’ll always support the Ukrainian people and the decisions that it makes,” she said.
