KIEV, December 29. /TASS/. Ukraine is ready to abandon trade sanctions against Russia in case Moscow decides to lift food embargo against Kiev and implements the agreement on a free trade zone, the country’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Tuesday.
"If Russia is ready to abandon trade embargo, if Russia is ready to implement the agreement on a free trade zone with Ukraine we’re ready too," Yatsenyuk said.
Last week Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament) passed a law enabling the government to impose economic sanctions against Russia in response to Moscow’s decisions regarding the free trade zone and food embargo. The law has not been signed by the president yet.
