MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Kiev leadership is telling lies when it says it meets commitments on the settlement in Ukraine under the Minsk agreements, envoy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said on Thursday.
"Only full disruption is seen nowadays, an attempt to freely interpret the peace agreements. Kiev tells sheer lies about compliance with the assumed commitments," he said.
"One should be super-optimist to expect that Kiev will implement the Minsk agreements by some certain timeframe. Hopes are fading that Kiev will at least move on some points of the Minsk agreements in the foreseeable future," Pushilin said.
Nothing has been done by Kiev in terms of political settlement over the past year, since the Minsk-2 Package of Measures was signed, he noted.
The Package of Measures on implementation of the September 2014 Minsk Agreements (Minsk-2) was signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarusian capital Minsk by participants of the Contact Group on settlement in Donbass.
The Package, earlier agreed with the leaders of the Normandy Four (Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine) envisioned an overwhelming cessation of fire and withdrawal of heavy armaments to create a security area in the region at least 50 kilometers wide.
